(Named so as it is often the bottom layer of gravel under a road or concrete.) This gravel is like the guy you can always count on to take that blind date with your friend. He is used as a foundation for 5/8″ minus often so he can’t have a big attitude with that supporting role.
(Named so as it is often the top layer of gravel under a road or concrete.) This rock is the handyman of gravel! This hard working and versatile rock loves to be used on all parts of your project.
1 ½” drain rock is mostly used for drain fields, but is also used in landscaping. This rock is a round river rock that has no minus. This allows water to drain easily since there are gaps between the rock.
1 ¼” fractured basalt is our #1 seller of rock that goes in landscapes. This rock is used as decorative landscaping rock around houses and flower beds.
This rock, perfect for haystacks and landscaping, is fractured like 1 ¼” basalt rock and is great for many purposes. Many farmers in the Columbia Basin use this rock as a haystack bed or in pond embankments, as it's large size will keep sand from blowing.
3x6 Basalt Ballast rock is a big fist size fractured rock. This rock is commonly used in retaining rock walls as filler in between the boulders.
On the farms here in the Columbia Basin, circle tracks can easily become large watering holes. This sand is sometimes used to fill these circle tracks and keep the low areas stable.
C-33 sand is often used as a foundation for pavers and in yards as pathways. It's also used as a filter media for septic systems. If you are needing a small sand, or sand for your pavers, this is what you are looking for, and we have it!
Chip rock is a small grey rock that is used in various ways. This product is not always available from our local quarries, but for the customers that need chip rock, we can request it.
Scalping sand is mainly used as a fill or sub-base material for binding in driveways and paths. Although this is not an often requested product, and not always available from the quarry, we can order and deliver scalping sand for your use throughout the Tri-Cities area if it is available.
